Inspection and audit

Inspection and audit

First step :
Carry out a survey,
approve the action plan

Site survey is the «foundation»
of the site protection system

  • EME analysis: we will assess the electromagnetic
environment along the entire site perimeter.
  • Threat assessment: we will identify the factors essential for protection against UAV threats, define the critical zones within the site, simulate attack scenarios and build a threat model.
  • Turnkey recommendations: we will select the optimal
equipment and protection systems and specify their installation points.
  • We will produce a detailed report including specifications, equipment performance data, installation locations and conditions, protection zones mapped on site, and a preliminary budget estimate.

Audit – analysis of the existing
site protection equipment
and its development

If the facility already has (or is installing) systems and means of countering UAV threats, it is advisable to carry out an independent legal and technical audit, including a «stress test» of the protection systems with simulated raids by UAVs of various types on the protected sites.

Objectives of the audit

  • Guarantees the elimination of personal risks
  • Provides legal protection
  • Helps avoid consequences and minimise the risks of UAV attacks
  • Reveals vulnerabilities in the protection systems
  • Determines how far the protection systems comply with regulations
  • Provides protection against current threats (fixed-wing UAVs)
  • Protects you and your employees!

Scope of the audit

  • Technical analysis of the performance of UAV detection
and jamming equipment, testing of coverage zones
    and assessment of system effectiveness
  • Tactical assessment identifying the vulnerable points of the site,
followed by simulation of possible UAV attack scenarios
  • Legal audit of the protection systems against the requirements
of Russian law, including a review of anti-terrorism security
    documentation and internal regulations
  • Assessment of staff readiness followed
by recommendations on training and drills.

Issues
and solutions for site protection

Issue 1

The question
of funding effective
protection against
UAV threats

Solution 1.1

The equipment
can be supplied:

  • Under a lease
  • Under a credit programme
  • Through grant funding.
Solution 1.2

We will help draw up a road map for equipping the site step by step with modern systems of protection against UAV threats.

Issue 2

There is no established practice in developing technical systems for countering UAVs.

Solution 2.1

Our experts, experienced in countering UAVs at facilities in the Kursk, Bryansk and other regions, will carry out a comprehensive site survey or audit using advanced methods and modern equipment. They will build a threat model, prepare a detailed report and recommend options for protecting the site.

Issue 3

It is difficult to choose effective protection that meets every legal requirement. There is a high risk of buying equipment unsuited to the protected site, including equipment that fails to meet legal requirements.

Solution 3.1

Our staff have the necessary expertise and will provide full technical and legal support. KBS and Synergy Integrator are certified to ISO 9001-2015

Current questions
of site protection

A layered, unified site protection architecture

Site protection must be deeply layered and comprise a set of technical
solutions combined into a single architecture (detection, radio-frequency
and kinetic suppression)

Protection beyond the site perimeter

Protection tactics are better built beyond the outer perimeter as well,
creating external security zones
with the use of kinetic means;

Mobile rapid-response fire teams

External security forces must be mobile and able to receive prompt information
about UAV flight routes so that kinetic means, among others,
can be used effectively.
